LA Stripes was inspired by a visit to Los Angeles, where I experienced a striking contrast between the urban and natural landscapes of Southern California. As a native of the San Francisco Bay Area, I immediately noticed a shift in color, texture, and atmosphere—a vibrant energy unique to LA. To capture this essence, I employed a striped motif, using its rhythm and movement to reflect the dynamic pulse of the city. Through this work, I explore how place influences perception, translating the visual and emotional impact of Los Angeles into a bold, structured composition.
