Welcome! My name is Claudia Shearer, and I am a quilt artist and educator living in San Francisco, CA who creates contemporary art quilts with a modern aesthetic.

I offer workshops and lectures focused on modern and improvisational quilting techniques, giving students the tools and confidence to create expressive quilts that are unique to the maker. My quilts have received numerous awards and have been juried into QuiltCon, Quilt Festival Houston, and Pacific International Quilt Festival.

My work is inspired by the colors, textures, and rhythms I encounter in daily life. Improvisation is at the heart of my creative process, allowing each quilt to evolve naturally as I work.
